Rooibos or red bush is a plant by the name of aspalathus linearis. It grows in the Cederberg, a small mountainous area in the Western Cape province of South Africa, home to the Khoi and San indigenous tribes that have used Rooibos for its medicinal properties for centuries.
 
Profile - Once a wild shrub that was dried in the sun and cut in small pieces, it is now cultivated and oxidized to develop its characteristic smooth and aromatic taste. This high-quality rooibos has long leaves (needles) and produces a beautiful ruby colored liquor with a robust body and sweet, fruity and earthy notes. Rooibos is naturally free of caffeine and can be consumed all day.
